Eugene Moore

September 2, 1946 — August 6, 2022

Eugene Moore, was born October 16, 1945 to his mother Mary Frances Clay Moore and father Clopton Moore in Mississippi. He was the thirteenth child born to this union of fourteen children. His mother, father, and some of his siblings proceeded him in death.

He was addressed as Gene through out his childhood also known as Gino and Mr. Moore in his adult hood. Gene grew up in Monroe County and in 1951 he and his family moved to Aberdeen. Him and his family attended Life Boat Methodist Church where he was baptized. He was a very active kid and loved to go outside and play with his siblings and other kids.

He grew up in Aberdeen and was educated at Vinestreet Elementry School and later attended Shivers High School. Gene loved footbal and played during his high school years. After highschool, he moved to Florida to work for a while. In 1966, he moved to St. Louis, Missouri. Gene opened a store called Moores Quik Shop. He was a very well known, sharp dressing business man.

Gene was a father of two daughters; Kimberly (Kim) Moore and Eugenia (Gina) Moore. He had a way of connecting with people and they loved to see him walk in the room with a big smile on his face. It was always a lot of laughter and fun with Gene in the room.

Gene departed this life, August 6, 2022, at Bellevielle Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Illinois. He leaves to cherish his memories: his two daughters Kimerly (Kim) and Eugenia (Gina), two grandchildren Amani and Zane , a sister Avera, four brothers Roosevelt, Eddie, Andrew, and William, a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
